TIMOTHY SAWYER enjoys an active musical career as choral conductor, music educator and professional singer. Sawyer received formal training at Bethel University (St. Paul), the University of Minnesota, and in doctoral-level studies in choral conducting at the University of Iowa. Since 1989, Sawyer has been a member of the music faculty at private Northwestern College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where he is Director of Choral Activities. Sawyer is frequently called upon as an adjudicator and clinician for vocal and choral festivals in the United States and internationally. In 2004, he designed and coordinated the first conducting master class at the Toronto Bach Festival, and has continued in the role of master class co-coordinator and coach since 2005 with Janet Brenneman.
