Fees
Master class fees include three core seminars and tickets to all Festival events.
- Master Class Conductors: $1195 CDN
- Choral Workshop (non-conducting participants): $495 CDN
- All cheques should be made payable to University of Toronto, funds in Canadian dollars.
Application Materials
To apply, Conducting Master Class applicants are asked to submit the following:
Non-conducting participants need only send a complete resume and covering letter.
- A letter indicating interest in participating in The Toronto Bach Festival.
- A VHS Video Cassette or DVD showing you conducting in a rehearsal as well as a concert with either chorus, orchestra, or combined ensembles (preferred). The tape should demonstrate the applicant's technique and musicianship as a conductor and rehearsal technician. Be sure the camera is focused on the conductor rather than the ensemble. Applications for conducting participants will not be reviewed until the video cassette showing the applicant in rehearsal has been received.
- a complete resume of your choral background, including degrees, conducting positions held, master classes attended, academic posts held, etc.
- a letter of recommendation from someone who knows of your work in detail, such as a doctoral advisor, colleague, current employer, etc.
